Crown Resorts has officially reintroduced CrownBet to the Australian wagering market, launching a new fixed-odds sportsbook through Betfair Pty Limited.
The relaunch comes ahead of the upcoming National Rugby League (NRL) and Australian Football League (AFL) seasons, a peak period for sports betting activity.
Originally announced in December, CrownBet’s return has now materialised as a nationwide fixed odds offering, available alongside Betfair’s already established betting exchange. The dual structure allows customers to access both traditional fixed-odds betting and exchange betting under the same corporate umbrella, expanding the operator’s product range rather than replacing its existing model.
The relaunched CrownBet includes a dedicated mobile app that covers racing and major sports markets. The sports betting infrastructure is operated by BetMakers Technology Group, which supplies the systems necessary for odds generation and market presentation.
Responsible gambling tools are integrated into the platform design, with the company emphasising safeguards intended to promote safe and sustainable play. While detailed features were not fully outlined, leadership highlighted compliance and player protection as central pillars of the product.
Betfair CEO Amy Zavros described the relaunch as a strategic move timed with the high-energy sports calendar, while Crown Resorts CEO David Tsai positioned CrownBet’s return as part of the group’s broader digital growth strategy. With the launch complete, CrownBet re-enters a competitive Australian wagering market at a moment of heightened seasonal demand.
